Window on the World

This was a big change in how the attic looks. It feels much closer to finished now.

Boxed In

5 New top-of-the-line Anderson "Series 400 Woodwright" double-hung, 6-over-1 "simulated divided light" windows. Phew!

Two Holes

All ready for the installation of two new windows.

All the world's a stage...

Staging for the work of installing windows and siding the dormers.

In

First view of the windows in place.

Out with the old

Here are the two small front windows, about to be done away with.

Gone!

The old windows are no more, and the hole is enlarged to make room for a new gliding window. Or a "roller" but don't call it a "slider" because that implies door.

Don at Work

Here's our contractor installing the new big window. He keeps commenting on how big it is (as if that's a bad thing), but we love it!

New Window 2

Don finishing up the installation of big window.

Family Room Windows

Here's a view from the inside. I love these windows -- they are a lot truer to the original windows than just about any other I've seen.

Scary Outside Picture

Here's the workers' view of the new windows. Well, they'd probably be a lot closer, but my camera wouldn't give much of a picture if I were.

Sunset

This view is from the staging, but it is the kind of sunset that we look forward to viewing from the new family room.

Sunset II

Ditto, although I think this one is from inside.

Family Room

This was supposed to give a feel for the whole room, with the new windows, but it's hard to get everything in one frame.
